actually i wanted to make a rather elaborate PA arcana costume and try the cosplay contest but i became so uninterested in dota that i dropped the idea completely
nothing so far, i am just considering getting one, and then i'll come up with some lame shit (or just use it as a glorified laptop). just wanted to ask somebody who used it how was the experience because i am on the fence right now. i am stingy and don't wanna shill upwards of 100$ (just getting the chinese knockoff here would cost me 80 bucks if im going for rpi4 @ 4gb, and i also gotta get the peripherals cause i got jack shit) for an expensive toy that i have no use case for
well, idk about new pis so they might be much much faster but my old pi is absolutely not usable as a glorified laptop or anything like that, id definitely not spend 100$ on this unless i really do have a good use case. its the type of thing u buy, play with for a week and then toss it into your drawer until u find a project u need it for
for most use cases a microcontroller is more than enough, why not get one of those instead? espressif has pretty good and affordable controllers (esp32) & they have interesting modules (esp eye is a computer vision/face detection module iirc).
