i am from a poor easter european country, where the government stole 1 billion dolores from national banks, if someone could give me free stuff, will be appreciated
dk is fun in pvp and as a tank in pve & to solo content but otherwise hes very boring y, i main a warry and got a lock on lvl 90 who i'll level for legion i guess
been playin wow for 10 years... since the open beta...
game is pretty much garbage now, WoD is the worst expac ever...
Im just farming the remaining missing pieces of my Cryptstalker from the Bmah and im done till legion, not even sure if ill buy legion first day for the first time ever.
it really was good likje the first 1 month then it got boring
i didnt pre pruchase legion but im for sure going to play it. blizz give good game please. i mean i actually hope maybe wow pvp could make it back to esports
been there, done that matey, server crashes, resource collecting, gates opening
I was playin on Warson (russian server in fact) then moved to Neptulon and in the end finished here on Nemesis (italian server) cuz of IRL friends :))
I remember eating warcraft and nutella for breakfast, warcraft and steak for lunch and warcraft and chicken for dinner at the time.
I used to turn on the PC and THEN wash my face when i got up, amazing times
Holy shit Yoshi, I played on WarsonG* too during Vanilla, remember the queue times when the server was full lmao. Or when you had like play for like 2 hours in Alterac Valley because that's just how it was at that point, grinding honor points for the warlord set - and when you had titles for total honorable kills (12 or 13 titles), that was some good shit. So many great memories about WoW actually, leveling and playing a destro-lock after watching drakedog's videos, and not being able to afford the epic mount @lvl 60 or using fucking thottbot to find shit :')
I can't remember where I played in TBC but played briefly on Neptulon before the end of Wotlk; Neptulon had a lot of bulgarians on it if I remember correctly, so many people's names ending with 'bg' lol. There was a pve guild called 'Perfect Circle' afaik. I mostly played RMP and rogue spriest in 2s (highest was 2k, maybe more) in wotlk because the raiding was so lackluster after TBC.
or clearing WC with 4 irl friends in one room, when you are all noobs and have no clue what to do, literally the most fun you could ever have in a video game - though I was 11 or 12 at that point, could be the age.
It's actually fucking impressive how you get to remember the names of zones, how instances look from the inside, and shops/npc in Ogrimmar/Shattrath/Dalaran, my rogue's keybinds and macros from wotlk, battlegrounds like Eye of the Storm and all the arenas, it's fucking crazy. That shit gets embedded so deeply you're not even aware of it until someone reminds you. I wish I had my all my screenshots now.
Ahahah Mokujin, you bring up so many memories! you may have killed me couple times even, I used to kill warlocks and die with them lol because of the curses.
Used to play my hunter Obscure till wotlk where i rerolled a resto druid, I just love to support and especially in pve where I used to go afk on ragnaros because we only had 2 hunters in the raid and everyone knew hunters didnt do enough dps in vanilla.
So when my dinner was ready i sneaked out to eat while auto shotting lol!
so many fond memories tho and yes, lots of bulgarians moved from warsong to neptulon. I remember lots of good guilds especially the horde side, I always played alliance because of RL friends despite the fact i fell in love with the shaman class.
I remember being grouped up in a party, asked "RUS?" and then kicked out lol.
To this day, some italian friends still joke about it from time to time when we speak about old days haha
The battles at Auberdine at night and at tarren mill were the best, I had a screenshot where just after the Warsong Gulch BG was introduced, where I had a queue time of like 18 hours or something lol.
those were the days man...
and yes! Perfect circle, the horde guild was pretty good, we used to pvp in the world when we met and usually I end up dead most of the times lol
on the alliance side we had the "screams" where a Chinese hunter girl was the raid leader most of the times, and it was absurd how much mathematics she used to calculate every "best in slot" piece for your class, even then where we had no wowhead and all other websites and the only resource was as you said thottbot. Man that website is the shit lol
i started playing in BC and i must say that i loved wotlk raiding way more in comparison because it allowed for more casual players to join the raiding fun
During Vanilla I was too scared to even say anything on TS because I was like 11 or 12 y/o and my voice was not manly enough compared to all the grown ups lool...
they didnt exactly make pvp easier. yea they help but the game itself is more balanced now, in vanilla every class could 1 shot every other class, especially enha shamans, first season of wotlk dks was some real icefrog-balance level shit too, cata mages = BrokeBack .. nvm every xpac/patch mage = BrokeBack but still people back then had no idea what they were doing, everyone knows everything about training tunneling peeling kiting pillar hugging in arena now, even the 1750 scrubs, RBGs (rated not random) are quite hard too
idk about pve tho i dont really raid and stuff but its somewhat easier because of LFR
LFR does absolutely nothing because it gives u the worst items for raiding more or less, raiding pretty much stayed the same as well except for easier mechanics and 3 levels (normal, heroic, mythic) which forces u to grind more and more
thx dr qua
this ones pretty cool im not gonna lie

Legion looks good imo, I pre purchased it, but imo WoD looked nice at the start as well
it really was good likje the first 1 month then it got boring

Yoshi, did you play during Vanilla when you had to collect resources for opening Ahn Qiraj?
The raiding experience of Vanilla / TBC was pretty fucking epic
@Patrice and Wilson
indeed the first month was kinda good
@Mokujin

Couldn't decide if this goes to that other thread or here, so let's go for both.

ayy lmao
i started playing in BC and i must say that i loved wotlk raiding way more in comparison because it allowed for more casual players to join the raiding fun
I miss coming back from school and playing this shit for 8 hours and then 16 hours on the weekend, those were the days
During Vanilla I was too scared to even say anything on TS because I was like 11 or 12 y/o and my voice was not manly enough compared to all the grown ups lool...
ye thats why i didnt join raids in the first place (bc), in wotlk you didnt need TS anymore and i usually got carried
Fucking addons made the game too easy, Gladius and Diminishing returns for Arena, DeadlyBoss mods for pve and all that good stuff :)
Thats what I remember from 4 years ago, it's prolly different now
i remember spending almost 1 hour in naxxramas (vanilla) to kill 1 single gargoyle because he was healing back up lol...
well encounters are incerdibly easy usually and blizz basically added some sort of dbm for pve + they explain mechanics and what u need to be aware of
they didnt exactly make pvp easier. yea they help but the game itself is more balanced now, in vanilla every class could 1 shot every other class, especially enha shamans, first season of wotlk dks was some real icefrog-balance level shit too, cata mages = BrokeBack .. nvm every xpac/patch mage = BrokeBack but still people back then had no idea what they were doing, everyone knows everything about training tunneling peeling kiting pillar hugging in arena now, even the 1750 scrubs, RBGs (rated not random) are quite hard too

u get to see the ecounters which does help
idk in wod but in mop u could get the gear needed to start doing normal diff raids
