I can't even enjoy anime because there is someone who watches a series of anime a week with fucking minor girls being fetishised for whatever reason and creating a inexhaustible source of anime with a protagonist that is of the age of a middle school student or lower talking about underage girl problems watched by a emasculated male

I watched a lot of anime during highschool. The stories are really predictable and it got old. My favorite anime is Hibike Euphonium. Its an uncommon choice but I think it is fantastic. Its a show that plays with the viewers expectations, and does so whilst maintaining its charm. It doesn't try to make it self seem more epic or fantastical than it is. It realizes that its a fun band drama and it sticks to that premise very well. Thats what I recommend to you.
