Why does VP always underperform at TI?

    Johnny Silvercock

They don't seem focused when they play. Storm keeps tethering illusions? Rage buybacks? Getting arrowed constantly?

You would expect a 3k player to make these mistakes not a 9k player. But I guess with enough pressure anyone can crack.

Probably a psychological barrier. Pressure at TI and adrenaline is like no other competition. Cracking under pressure can happen to the best, especially at the ONE BIG TOURNAMENT.

Look at any pro sport and there's a reason why the top 3 are so dominant at the big competitions. Tennis is a good example- winning mentality is so important.

Back 3ear and more they never had a team to win, now when thy have pressure is big, thy just can`t handle, probably. OG last year and these year to play with out any pressure and see how they perform. All pro players are amazing, but if they aren`t focused they make some mistake that even you and I wouldn`t and than is over, cause other team can and will punish that.

They overestimate their skill and reach.

What they also don't understand is that TI unlike other tournaments is a 5 man game! If you want to commit to a kill you have to commmit 100% with your team backing you up! And at the times they decide to go they are not ready for that so they end up taking unfavorable fights in unfavorable positions from a non existent position of advantage because the others WILL rotate, WILL sacrifice effective playstyles to seem bigger at that particular moment. And then they can just roll with that while VP remains a non cohesive group of players that don't work on each other strengths and support their weaknesses.

They should've won both games but they didn't play it like they were supposed to, purely from underestimating the opponents playstyle and aim in the game!!

TI is not about winning but about being stronger and THEN being in a position to win.

if you have watched their interview, the pressure is too high for them. as they are owning during minors and majors, so people expect them to perform. plus, they are the team who can't adopt last minute patches before TI... VP is norm to play aggressive heroes, but their heroes slightly nerfed prior to TI and due to can't adopt these changes in time like other teams especially LGD, they got beaten so bad.

Pressure has nothing to do with it

Nerf on certain heroes has nothing to do with it, there are other heroes
