    Midlaner, offlaner, or pos 4?
I remember when it was 4-protect-1, midlane would be the playmaker: initiation, ganks, they'd all be started by him. Then double-farming cores became a thing, and it became the offlane's job to start something. Then three farming cores happened, and pos 4 players suddenly bore the responsibility. What's the normal setup now, in low-level pubs, high-level pubs, and pro games? Who should be the one looking to make moves off of which the others follow?

Draft, power spikes and map control dependant question.

The lanes outcome and timings fulfillment might affect the gameplan defined by your draft as well.

Like above poster says. It is different in every game and it all depends on draft and lane out comes.
As you are low legend after almost 3000 games you should probably look at all The stuff you are doing wrong instead of looking at what your team does.

By doing that you could reach low divine if you are not retarded

          its heavily in draft
but mostly 3 or 4 now
since retarted people keep picking void and dusa in same team

I'm trying to get into more playmaking tempo heroes for midlane, but I love farming mid. The issue is when I get farming offlaners also, and item-dependent pos 4s. The only tempo mid I can play is Lina, and then the rest are tempo-farming mids like SF, Bloodseeker, Necrophos, or hard farmers like Alch, Sniper. My QoP, DP, Storm play is garbage, and I haven't played Void Spirit
