4 random lich in a day is quite difficult, but I have gotten 4 random silencer in a row, which is much harder. If I remember correctly, the chances of getting 4 silencer randoms in a row is
1/110 x 1/110 x 1/110 x 1/110 = 1/146410000.
Wow only one in every 146.41 million chances lol. I hit a lottery ;p.
Although possible, I don't think any of us will ever see 10 random lich in a row. That likelihood is more than one in a zillion.
if you play all pick why would you press random. if you want random then play random mode.
Grimorum- your calculations are a little bit off. First of all- not all heroes from dota are implemented in dota 2. Secondly- picking a very particular hero from the pool 4 times in a row is indeed p^4, where p- the chance to get him once. But a more accurate equation would be picking ANY hero 4 times in a row. And that is only p^3.
Like slivers said, not all heroes are implemented in dota 2, so the probability is much more likely.
Dotabuff has reported about 948 million heroes played so far. 4 randoms in a row for somebody is not too surprising. 10 in a row would have to be a programming bug with the RNG. I have played a random hero about 700 games. You can look at my most played stats and see that it distributes them fairly evenly. I have randomed the same hero twice in a row on occasion, but never 3 times in a row.

I feel like I always random the same heroes, while I have never once random some others. I once randomed Lich 4 times in one day, but I've never randomed Rubick, ever. I'm curious to see the exact number of times I have randomed each hero. Anyone else would like this feature?
