Everyone picked their hero in both games. Both games were underway for a few minutes before someone abandoned. Thanks for taking a stab at it though!
Hmmm...seems to be less than what the FAQ section of Dotabuff states:
"We have developed an in-house algorithm that has over 99% accuracy, but it cannot be sure in all situations."
"60% of the time, it works every time." -Anchorman
I think if nobody leaves within the first 2 minutes, game will count. Also, everyone must have picked a hero.
Stats not counted in the first 5 minutes, or before first blood. I think courier kill will enable them as well, but not sure about that.
Early abandons doesn't count in dota 2 client, they shouldn't count on dotabuff unless at least on of each team stays and complete around 20 minutes of the game (i.e. games continues), then it would count as a loss for one side, and a win for the other depending on whoever won or whoever dota 2 decided to be the winner
Though ur case is weird

Within a 4 match span I had 2 different games in which people abandoned.
-The first game with an abandonment I was Lifestealer and we won 4v5 (after 60 minutes of work), and I went 27-3-10. This game was not counted towards my record.
-The second game with an abandonment I was Rubick, and I left about 7 minutes in with 1 death. Somehow I went 1-8-7. This game was counted towards my record.
Looking back through my records, I identified several games which people abandoned and I received a loss, but only 1 game (that I could identify) where people abandoned and I received a win (despite playing through until the win on multiple occasions).
What gives? What is the criteria used to determine such a factor? I'm curious, because based on my personal experience it does not appear to be close to 99% accurate. It seems reasonable to assume that a 60 minute 4v5 win is more worthy of a record than a 7 minute quit because of an abandonment.
Thanks.
