it was tc raping tho :D (tauren chieftain, not the dusa player) but yea dusa is very strong against naix
I was on the phone the whole time...man, I hope they have a VOD or I'll have to buy the weplay ticket.
Alliance baned ET game 2. Do you think that was the key to this strat? (the aura)
i dont think the aura was that important... His astral spirit did the work really- through excellent laning, snowballing because of amazing dmg, scouting nuking (at one point just the touch of an astral took aroung half of maiden hp). Imo the escalation came to play after that triple kill... From then on- very poor decision making from alliance and very good decision making from liquid. As one of the casters said, liquid outplayed alliance (and by a long shot at that).

Another game that happened at the exact same time. Quite funny, both games almost completely identical drafts.
Spoiler Alert!
The 10-11minute team fight/wipe, dusa got there late and ult caught a naix and 25% hp qop only.
12 Minutes in, the score was 7-2 to Liquid. The ET at the point was 6-0-1, involved in all kills.
Before this bat also managed to get brown boots + blink (he got a salve from one of the supports at the start)
Dusa survived a 13min 4man gank with his ult, and the team turned around to pick up a few kills.
17minutes in Loda complains about new armlet in all chat made me lol. It does annoy me as well.
The dusa ult is pretty strong but liquid controlled the game.
respect to loda for pointing out how fucking stupid the armlet nerf is, its not even a nerf, it just makes toggling impossible.
i played naix earlier today and its just fucking hilarious, when i thought i toggled it, i had actually turned it off and i died
Wow, bulba just kicked butt on ET...just like he has been in NA Elite League. Qojqva's bat was excellent too except that first failed smoke gank. This was the worst beating I've seen Alliance take since...maybe 5 months ago.
Liquid has figured out how to drive Bulldogs NP off the lane. They held him down as well as possible.
TC played Medusa in a totally different skill/item build combo from the traditional way Medusa was playing in pro games going back...um years to the last time Medusa was big in dota 1. He went for max survivability...maxed mana shield over split shot and no mystic snakes at all. He got RoB and used those mp to tank harrass so RoB becomes a very good EHP regen item. Then he got stats and treads, drums into yasha. With max mana shield and no mana burn to counter Medusa is very tanky. Medusa was able to contribute much sooner than usual with this build...but it didn't actually matter because Liquid was winning so heavily anyway.
It will be interesting to see how this Medusa build holds up in a losing game where Medusa has to reach late game uphill to win.
You forgot PR it seems. But new Medusa ulti is seriously one the biggest bullshits in the game right now. You just can't face her and it also lowers turn speed. You can't consider turning around in the middle of a teamfight just because you won't get stunned. But you have to do it. It even goes through BKB.
oh lol, well I didn't see that game....game right before this I guess. I heard the casters talking about it. Sometimes I am too precise for comprehension...words are strange things. Often you have to say what someone expects you to mean rather than what you actually mean to succeed in communicating. And yet I keep writing "say" when I mean wrote...such inconsistency.
I should have written something like "wow alliance rarely loses this badly" That would have better conveyed the meaning.
That's true. It actually has been a while since that game. Around 2 weeks I guess.
bought an $8 ticket just to watch it. lol.
That game was because of Elder Titan kind of snowballing...
If ET didn't had those early kills.. it would be interesting how Medusa would pan out
