When I just listen to music I usually chose some metal, it can be power metal, goth or death or black sometimes. Depends on my mood.

For gaming, I can't stand them, no idea why. My fav band for gaming was always Disturbed ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWxBrI0g1kE ), its genre is... nu-metal maybe, or something like that. Doesnt matter, I love the band and cant really get bored with. Sometimes, but not for forever.

I also like listening to metalcore things, like Trivium, mostly cause I over-listened my fav metal bands and they disturb my concentration, so I need something new but still good, and its easier to find new AND good stuff in a genre I wasnt into in the last 8-10 years. :D

I listen to classical music when I play Dota2 and Classica Opera while playing Battlefield. It helps me concentrate and keeps me calm in losing streaks. In the younger days it was mostly rock, metal or other angsty teenager music.

I don't usually listen to music during the match, but tend to use it to get into the right mood before games. My song of choice lately was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRB6FLQ9xcg . I am not a big fan of dubstep or whatever the genre is called, but this one just makes me want to lay down great combos with the team and do some crazy cool-looking stuff)
