Pro A vs Pro B, each has 50% chance of winning.
Valve's MMR just forces your WR to reach 50% no matter how skilled you are because you face off with players of similar skill.

yea pretty much everyone should be around 50% regardless of skill level. People can boost up these % by stacking but it will not make you any better of a player it will just make you 'seem' better than you actually are
If someone has sniper as top heroes dodge
If someone has private profile (not hidden stats) dodge
If someone picks sniper/meepo/medusa in picking phase enjoy the loss
sometimes you can't help it, play with buds. also, dont fight for cs with your carry, upgrade courier/wards/dust/sents etc.. just try to be a team player and hope your team gets their shit together
besides only thin that better winrate gives you is shitteir teammates and better enemies until you reach top pages if you dont stack
Or even better, play 500+ games with one hero! Seem to work for most who are doing it! :D

Always pick hero based on your teammates and opponents' picks.
Only way is to play with Try Hard friends in same party. Best is if you find 5 man party. Highest chance of increasing. But like what the others mentioned, Valve has made this Win-Lose ratio to be 50% for MOST people. There's no point in going to a higher WR, Cuz you will ultimately still be at the same win lose chance which is 50%!

you sir deserve trophy for playing same hero over and over again. just look at the match history make me sick
how to get >50% winrate? this works for me as of now (no wisp tryhard stack, no cheating, not even using the same hero repetitively)
solo queue when on a losing streak, oftentimes you will win the next game or two
when on a solid winstreak, 2 or 3-stack with teammates that are on a losing streak, they sure have low MMR rating, resulting in weaker enemies skill-wise
^ what do you mean smurf? fake account? 4th, 3rd or even 2nd account? no! i dont even have 2 pages of no stats recorded games (only 4 games actually, not my fault) unlike other tryhards here, i just switched to dota 2, from dota 1 where i play in-house bet/wager games in the Philippines, and the transition seems to be smooth, easier to buy items, less pinoy flamers, etc.
im just reading the posts here in the forums (and i get through experience) that when i lose much, i assured to be played against noobs the next game, so i did that trick, when losing, play solo, then if on a winstreak, play with friends that are losing, and the competition wont be as hard as you play as solo with a 4-game win streak or something like that, and when losing even with friends/stack, repeat the process, play solo again and you win..
..or maybe MMR rating does not count before around 50 games or so, but why i feel like i am playing against shitty opponents when i had a 6-game lose streak one time? can someone care to explain?
I cant find the link but a dev posted that MM doesnt really stabilize til around 100 games so you will get games all over the place when you start

^all my games have been played from a cafe since i don't have a pc either.
as for the stats, they are so trivial and you can literally tailor them to be whatever you want them to be. not to mention, are pointless, and no one cares about.
but to each his own.
You are not forced into a 50% winrate, if that was the case I'd have 50% winrate since I solo queue 95% of my games, yet im always around ~52% +/- 0.5%.
pick ogre magi all the time, if you are indeed as awesome as you think you'll win over 50% games

So the story is, back when I got an invite to dota 2, i didnt have a good enough laptop/pc so i gave my account to my younger brother/friends and they lost/abandoned a lot. so after i got a decent laptop i started getting wr back to 50% but then it was getting hard to increase it further (was learning the game/higher lvl bracket and stuff).
now pubs are even harder in my opinion, so any suggestions how can i increase my winrate? cause honestly feel i am better than ~50%
