It is a common mistake alot of players make. They make a new account and waste time practicing on random shit player and learn absolutely nothing on how to play the hero

Why not just use unranked games to practice on and ranked for serious mode?

You don't need another account to practice with, really. This fact doesn't stop a lot of people using smurfs but remember that your 0 win account will be playing other 0 win accounts...it won't even be practice, just rape.

I made a smurf for a similar reason and after about 10 games I was playing people with 1000+ matches.
I don't think Volvo cares tbh, they just match you whoever.

be a man and use ur main. its not like people will be checking ur dotabuff :p

play against bots with cheats on nothing will let u improve faster #especially when it comes to feeling spells

in your first game you'll probably rape the other teams not because you're good but because they suck so bad that they think the hero you just picked is the most OP hero in the world, then they are going to pick your hero for the next few matches, where they will probably feed the shit out and quit dota

I don't think it's bad, but I would rather just do coop bots with the hero for practice. Smurfing seems a little bit wrong to me.

bots doesnt really work always win cause bots rapes them. not every match i had are newbs so i guess this is fine for me to feel heroes i can use and heroes i cant ( meepo, lone druid, bane)
