If mid lane is so important why send the lowest MMR to it? in General Discussion

In a stack I'm about 1 to 2k mmr below everyone else in the stack and yet I'm the one in which they usually planed to send mid.

You are their backup plan. You know...
      Plan A. Win the game.
      Plan B. Blame mider.

guess it depends on what mid hero it is? i mean if you are using a mid hero who is in mid to soak exp/stem loss through bottle crow you wont be as affected by skill difference compared to heroes which need to win mid like qop od etc..

Actually I tend to play heroes like TA, QoP, Storm Spirit etc.

Honestly because having a good player farming up the mid usually isn't preferred. Most people want to dual lane the side lanes and grab up kills as early as possible. Even if I pick a carry I prefer to take him offlane with my buddy support to ensure we are killing of their carry as much as possible. If I was the best player in the game I still hate taking mid because I feel safer knowing that the other two lanes won't get out of hand.

As long as you can get farm and semi-control the mid that is what better players prefer because then they can focus their attention to beating down the other lanes.

You do seem to pick mid heroes almost all the time, maybe they are being good buddies and don't want to take you out of your comfort zone :)

Mid is not a crucial role if the map is well warded. Better players have more opportunity for kills in a lane. Picking up 2 kills is 4/5 creep waves of farm.

Maybe because they are not that good with mid heroes? A 4k support player might be a 3k mid player because he needs to do stuff he usually does not (rune control, take as much farm as possible from the lane, play unfamiliar heroes etc).

because you don't have to win mid if your side lanes do well. You just have to not die.
