I dunno about this hero guys, i suck with him yet i win

Discuss? Item build, Skill build, etc?

      Aghs - Situational, not core.

Phase, maybe mana. Consider bottle, stick, Drums, Mek, Kite stick, and blademail.

Hook has a great cast animation, you can cancel easily.

Thanks for responding, anyways how about that vangaurd pick up? I thought i needed it to survive the sven and LC even the pudge even though i got it like 13min in or something like that

        Faded

          yeah... definitely phase/mana/travels

too much contact for tranqs, and fk everyone who goes DPS clockwerk

if i go mana boots, i might only grab a wand after
if i go BoT/phase, i generally grab bottle and wand

i usually stick with a stout/pms (not sure why people hate this item, poor man's shield)
and build a fast bmail or aghs, sure aghs is situational but that 12 sec cd means you're traveling and having map presence a lot more often, but that's just my speculation

then i might go halberd, shivas, heart, mjolnir, sheeps, etc

          Rise

Don't go vangaurd If you are planning on 1v1 go blademail, it provides a solid amount of stats/armor that shouldn't be overlooked for the same price

            Wink

Entire item build is optional and situational.

Commonly purchased items: Arcanes, Phase Boots, Bottle, Blademail, Forcestaff, Aghanims, Blink, Shivas, Heart, Hex, Radiance

Abilities: Level 1 W or Q, max E or Q first and then max the other. Situationally you will have to put a second point into W early on. Always get hook (duh)

I personally love Phase Boots on him, but if I go mid with him and get a bottle I'll go Treads. Next I usually go Drums or Urn and then Force before Aghs.

Aghs is pretty core on him (top 5 aghs upgrade IMO), but you should never rush it. Straight up Aghs is a waste because you won't have the mana pool or regen to utilize the low CD that early in the game. Also remember that you can hook to your allies or creeps. Moving 3k units every 12 seconds does wonders for your mobility.

One of favorite (although usually not optimal) item builds on him is Phase > Drums > Eul's > Aghs. Clockwerk can definitely use the extra movespeed for chasing and locking enemies into cogs without hook, it allows him ample mana for spamming Hook, and the Cyclone active synergizes well with his skillset because you can Cyclone and have Battery Assault continue while you're in the air, or you can Cyclone an enemy and drop cogs under them.

Like Willis said above, Blademail is generally a better pickup than Vanguard on Clockwerk. However, Blademail on Clock IMO is more of a snowball item than anything else. It's a way to leverage your health pool as damage, but if you're behind you likely have a far smaller health pool than one of the cores that you'll want to hook in on (or they have an easy way to escape you). I think Force staff is a better pickup than Blademail is if you're behind because it lets you hook in, cog their carry, and get out somewhat safely. Otherwise they just wait out the Blademail duration and kill you because you're not an immediate threat to them due to you being behind.

Ability build is usually 1/1/1 (cogs first for the cog creep block) and then max Battery Assault > Rocket > Cogs while taking hook when you can obviously. A second point in Rocket is really useful for CSing if you want to grab it though.

Lategame Shiva's is a fantastic item on Clock, and should usually be picked up before something like a Heart. Mjollnir is also a decent pickup on Clock because of the active ability. Just remember to use it on yourself before you hook in.

Sometimes people like to pick up Orchid on Clock, but if you're playing him offlane you likely won't be getting it in time for it to be relevant in picking up solo kills.

Clock is extremely versatile and you can get rewarded well from clever item builds. Experiment, don't be afraid to build things like Mask of Madness or Sheep or Battle Fury or Halberd when the situation arises that they seem like they would be good. Any boot works on clock, but only one boot is going to be correct for the game you're in. Clocks spells are all cheap, but the full combo costs a good chunk of mana, so you might want to be able to go int treads or increase your mana pool with arcanes. If you build a mek you will need arcanes for sure.
Deciding which ability to max first is open to your intuition as well. You'll generally want cogs first on level 1 but you'll rarely max it first. It's really not a bad scaling skill though. 200 mana burn is really going to make it hard for people to continue the fight. Cogging someone in, killing one of your cogs and walking out is generally an easy way to trigger the drain on them once.
Battery Assault is the most offensive skill you have, so you'll want to max this first typically so you can start murdering people in the early to mid game. You may opt to max it after rockets though. Sometimes you're not going to be in a position to get people solo and softening them up with rockets before going in is going to be a better plan. Visage and Lycan don't care about battery assault at all for the most part because they are only hit by a third of it.
Your actions during the early and midgame are going to generally mold the rest of the game for the rest of the players as this hero. If those are poor your lategame will be poor and you will need to semi-initiate for the lategame to succeed.
