By the dotaverse lore, some heroes are much more powerful than the others. Wisp was MISTAKEN to be a god.

I was pretty disappointed when I read meepo lore. There's not any mention about his unique things.
Also batrider is just a guy who found a bat.

The dota1 lore changes with time...I certainly don't remember any Drow raping/Juggernaut bearing.

More dota1 lore: Broodmother used to be in love with Nyx Assassin (formerly Nerubian Assassin) and the result is the endless sacs of spiderlings she uses in battle, I summon mental images to your heads.

Naix is a thief cursed with everlasting life so he could rot in a dungeon for all eternity and his brain melted and he went crazy. Then this sorcerer melded his mind into Naix so now Naix is like two people, the old rotted body of the thief and the mind of the sorcerer.

Shadowfeind is some sort of demon that sucks your soul out and doom is like the ruler of hell and chaos knight is some demon guy from some chaos hell too. Tons of dota lore overlaps in weird ways.

What is also really weird and inconsistent is vengeful spirit like hunts skywrath or some shit yet they are on the same side in dota.

Anyway, Timbersaw technically should OHKO everything with his Chakram. And like double OHKO Treant. It should be at least like super effective or something. Same with Sniper to everything that has a brain…

dota lore is by far the shittiest lore around.

There are about 20 good backstories and rivalries. Rest are trash.

I actually find it quite amazing and indepth for a game which has literally 0 focus on lore.

There's no lore to it cus the whole thing ripped off warcraft universe then had to rewrite character names and backstories for everyone cus that shit is copyrighted. So that's why it's all disjointed. Not that I care. Individual bios can be interesting at times.

Venge and sky were lovers, mortred ( on behalf of sky killed venge sister ) so venge wants revenge on sky. Also, when venge kills sky, she says, something in line of, you break my wings, i break yours.

Also, kotl and furion defeated dred lords ( balanar ) and kel thuzad ( lich ) and they are mortal enemies. Necro was summoned by kel thuzad, to aid them in fight vs power of light and prophet ( furion ) and rubick ( grand mage )

Traxex and mortred are sisters.

Pit lord was biggest baddas ever to be known ( as i am aware, was only once summoned, to help defeat admiral proudmore ( kunka )) .

^ not sure if you're referring to the dota or dota 2 lore about venge/skywrath, but either way it's wrong. In dota 1 mortred killed venge, and venge was given a new body, and she had no affiliation to skywrath Mage. In dota 2, she doesn't "hunt" him per se, but she hates him because he was too busy studying magic to protect her from the coup led by her sister to seize the throne

dota lore is literally the best and worst thing of all time.

a few cool ones, yet many generic " X is a god", " Y had their parents killed and grew up with powers" and " Z escaped from prison"

some cross-joining of lore is nice though, kinda joining it all together. i like the dotacinema blog/series thing, "lore for the uninitiated"

Although, i remember in old days, when playing Roc and TFT, you could learn a lot , and i mean a lot from campaign about lore.

Dota in general has an interesting lore, but as some said, changing from Dota1 forced IceFrog to modify it and thus led it to be disjointed.
