Let it be optional then that idea will be half ok. Although, it is unfair since there will be 6ks farming the shit out of it.
@IceToad: In that mode 6ks, play with 6ks. So there's nothing unfair about it. And ofc it will be optional. But im pretty sure everyone(most) willl find it exciting.
People can abuse it. Turning off the option, lowering their rank and then betting again. 1v1 would be a farming galore. Although, a better idea would be spectator betting option on 1v1s. Before the game starts [before the players pick their heroes] the spectators can bet on the players and who ever wins gets the rares. Similar to tourney betting.
Also there are a few "free win" exploits in that game mode, people don't often use them since it is just for fun, but if it was for items people would abuse the crap out of them.
This would be cool if implemented in PRIVATE lobbies.
I don't know why you would implement something like this in the pub matchmaking, as it's for PRACTISE or FUN purposes.
However it'd be a nice feature in lobby games, even though I might not be able to take advantage of it as I'd probably be banned from such a mod as I'm tradebanned sadface.
@zaby There's a patch coming that makes the other towers invulnerable so you cant abuse that lesh strat but maybe there are other "free win" strats I dont know about
Pretty sure that would make Dota 2 illegal to play in a lot of LAN centers in the U. S. because you are gambling with things that represent a certain amount of money.
Sounds really good on paper but people would abuse it, not only via the matchmaking, but also, with cheesy strats. Instead a challenge option would be nice though where you could challenge someone to 1v1 and both players wage on that match.

I believe all of you have heard of 1v1 solo mid mode? I was wondering if valve(or anyone) could add a betting system into that. Imagine before you start queue-ing for the 1v1 match you have to pick an item(rare only) and set it as the betting product. If you lose it goes to the enemy's armory straight. If you win you get the enemy's rare. It'll take mid to a whole new standard! Imagine everyone learning so fast, so determined to get them rares that they are unaware that they are improving their mid skills! Leave your hateful comments below guys. =D
