Since there are so many qq threads around here, I'd like to start this one where we say things we like about this obsessing game and why we keep playing every game.

2 things that I enjoy the most are the moment when I'll manage to carry a game which seemed lost and the 2nd thing is flashfarming

        Kamado Kun

When i go mid and i win that lane easily i have that good feeling that the game is already in my hands and no autistic kid will take it away from me

            Free, inovation and skill

Unfortunatly, those two thing are vanishing little to little.

Between some bad porting, patch that make game easier (and not more convenient !!!), promotion of anti-carry, that just doom any skill showing from the targeted guy, promotion of 5 men ball, that just doom free, and skill (especially when after 5 men balling and falling very hard, they are still an edge over to win).
On top of that, it's actually pretty hard to inovate in an era of anti carry, but at least, it gives pretty good feeling, when you actually achieve to do so :)

@Matrice, I haven't been playing that long but remember when I first started about 2 years ago every game was hard carry safe lane farming for 30 minutes, then whoever's side had the carry with best farm usually won. Void wasn't aggressive early, he went battlefury and farmed his ass off. Spectre, PA, PL, AM, Medusa all those guys played this way. Is that actually preferable to push strats, deathballs and anti carrys who force fights earlier?

I have come to a point in which i really enjoy when 2 guys flam each other.

Some of the encounters that made me crack up:

                          1) palestinian VS israeli gamer talking for more than 30 minutes about dota, religion, race, life and death, etc. (everything started with 1 of them pointing out a mistake from the other one in voice chat. the other guy asked him about his accent/origin and from there it was "fight time" starting with a "i knew u were from that shit culture")

                          2) Russian Troll VS Smartass German for about 20 minutes in horrible but funny to listen "english" (russian kid basically bashing and verbally harassing for not getting suported) A seemingly disoriented student who came up with weird responses. Like an ape in mate season trying to comunicate with Nobel prize winner. He tried to counter with “smart” responses that made him just look weird in the end. He finally gave up after 20 min saying “muted” while Russian kept spamming voice chat with “im a real man and winner in life”)

                          3) Rich kid VS High Skilled Player (at least in that game, he made the biggest impact) Rich kid bashing enemy for being noobs, bad, not being a challenge, ez game etc. Losing team makes comeback and 1 guy uses this chance to bash the harraser back. Rich kid, realizing how much mistakes he end up doing wich lead his team to lose starts to brag about his father’s financial success and how he already owns a audi and business with high profits pointing out how he doesn’t give a fuck about a videogame and what a bunch of poor nerds we all are. Even if rich guy was lying it was worth the show.

All of those fights happened in won games. It was all about ego.

                            BUT its dota 2 boys

                            Quick maffs

                              @n7k1

Holy shit man i never get such cool flame wars, its always the typical " fuck you noob " in my games

                              Tempest Bloom

In my 2K trash mindset, some of the best things i like about dota 2 are big flashy skills, like something that's just satisfying about having a giant explosion after a supernova or a big echoslam, big epicentre/lich ult etc, stuff that you see that makes you go WOW, even like a big crit that sounds cool

in general however, i like the versatility you have of being able to pick any of 108 playable heroes for whatever mood you're in

Playing with friends since I almost always solo queue. I end up not talking for 5 hours straight sometimes

                                  one and half gun

when i dont get acc buyers / 4ks in my team picking carry/mid

"3) Rich kid VS High Skilled Player"

When people flame me I tell em at least I don't live in my mom's basement and work at mcdonalds. Cus they are usually retards and that assumption is probably pretty accurate.

He didnt even had that much of a reason to leave, before he did he was like 0:2 or 0:3.

Whatevs man - ez katka! - a nice change comparing it to my 2 previous games when I had to rely on idiots that were suiciding solo

                                        @Timberwolf

Well, depends HOW someone flames because if you have to bring in real stuff as an argument it means you really have nothing to say.

"doesnt matter if i just sucked in this game and got flammed for a right reason, AT LEAST I HAVE GF GUYS, YOU HEAR THAT?" - so fucking pathetic

What I like the most about dota is the perfect balance that exists between its extremely high skill cap and its amazing gameplay. There are few games that can be as hard as dota whithout compromising gameplay, even fewer are still rewarding as dota is. Besides dota, I've found such balance only on two other games:
                                            Beatmania iidx:

I only have twenty or so games under my belt, but I'm already drawn to the unique heroes. While are there still some heroes that don't offer much that can't be found elsewhere (I'm thinking of Sven and Queen of Pain right now), most of the heroes feel vastly different from each other. Especially the wide variety of flashy yet useful abilities. It's a shame it takes like twenty minutes before I have enough mana to use them more than twice every couple minutes.

Hilarious answer, dude! Also, that would be my answer for the rich kid:

What i like mostly about dota is... pudge bliet!

Yup 2 and 3 years ago, the problem was the low pool of heroes, i'm rather remembering day of dota1, with full pool of heroes, where you had different style playing all together.
Na'vi's one, with mega fast push rich support, or some more popular like heavy ganging (2 roam) and one semi carry on each lane, some with the obvious, 4 protect 1. Then you had also some more rare strat, like heavy farm fest, with one roam 1 wood and 3 semi carry.

I totally understand that some strat were conceptually bad, and working only cause of outskill, but it was possible to do something else. Now we are pretty stuck on the "mega fast push" but support aren't rich cause of the push, they are cause of the income, cause obviously it always fail for one of the two team, and sometime even for both, but they still get there stuff out of a 5 men ball.

I don't know if you ever played "aram" in lol, even there, where item cost nothing, they don't get there stuff at doing nothing, even though it's 5 men ball since the begining, and that a single kill would offer half an item for them....

I watch sometime stream of sc2, well, the i go all in, in your face, is just like the worst strategy possible, why is it that much promoted in dota? I understand the split push (drop) and i think it's actually balanced on that part in dota2. but all the little skirmich to reduce a little the force between the two camp are (almost)totally absent from dota2, and that's one thing i'm a bit sad about.
(early gang during lane face is not those skirmich)

Counter Initiation. The enemy team try to move to the high ground or take a tower, look to be winning, then you and your teammate turn it around with well placed and timed ultis like Earth Splitter, Epicenter, or Chain Frost.

                                                      Nope, try again boys.
