you can help someone play better without flaming them.
tell them what they should be doing to rectify their previous mistakes instead of insulting them for making those mistakes, there's no use crying over spilt milk.
if they really want to play better they'll mute whoever is flaming them so that they're affected by their emotions less. it's really hard to concentrate when in the back of your mind you're trying not to fuck up or else you're gonna get flamed again. if you mute them, you don't need to worry about that.
This is why I mute my team pretty much every single game I play solo. I don't give a shit about some scrandy crying because someone messed up 1 time, because everyone should play perfectly or something. You know whether you're doing badly without anyone telling you most of the time anyway so it's pointless to listen to.
I once gave a naga some advice during a game and he got so mad, told me to shut the fuck up. I trashed talked the shit out of him after that, game was lost anyway.
well its awful for me to flame my 4k teammates mainly because im either the highest rated or second highest rated player in my team.
so i just flame them if we are actually losing (when throne is about to go down).
