It's really great on Juggernaut because the item effects stick on the enemy while you use Omnislash

Course it's getting popular, along with mobility boosters like Sange and Yasha, Manta, and Mask of Madness, putting those together with Skadi makes for easy chasing, and the amount of health it gives is comparable to Terrasque, and it's slow stacks with Sange ansd Yasha's Maim, which again, easier chasing, making it great for agility carries and int semi-carries like Windranger, if the situation allows for it. It shouldn't be a surprise that it's getting super popular.

skaadi on sniper late game is the bane of many melee carries that lack build-in initiation

basicallly the heroes skadi is good for became part of meta, that´s why.

No, it's not, I've been building it on sniper for ages, it only just started getting super popular. Yeah they buffed sniper's shrapnel but he was a popular pick before too and skadi was not popular on him at all. SF hasn't really gotten more in this meta, he's always been decent to good pick and skadi has become a lot more popular on him.

I think it's partly due to the rise in popularity of MoM which stacks with skadi so it's a natural build flow to go a high dmg, squishy item like MoM then follow it up with skadi.

But I think the main reason is juggernaut. Since his stat stacking builds became popular people are realizing how freakin strong stacking stats is on every hero and just carrying over that logic. I also think jug going MoM all the time kinda launched the MoM craze as well.

It's pretty much just a much better version of Heart of Terrasque for heroes that aren't strength heroes or are reliant on another orb effect.

Skadi get buffed last 5 patches bit per bit so its obvious people will start to use this item alot more because is fucking one of the best items in the game for sure.
