I've been muted so many times for making calls (not flaming) so I just stick with the chat wheel and people seem to respond to it better leading to less conflict.

Some small things you can do I usually spam > I will purchase tango if I want someone to pool me or for an upgrade on the courier. Pushing and roshan you can spam ping or specific heroes, X ping used to signal danger, alt click the portrait to indicate someone is missing/your hp/cd on skills.
I find it nearly impossible ...... One of the many reasons people get stuck at 590 MMR is because they can't effectively communicate to a team and they blame their teammates to much causing conflicts
I try my best to be friendly..... Normally I avoid giving advice or constructive criticism until I have clearly established that I am a superior player (at the 5 minute mark I have kept a pudge at level killing him solo twice for instance) so people will actually LISTEN
Even then you have to be friendly I say things like "axe I think your need a blink friend" after he narrowly misses a kill or a call cause they managed to simply walk away. Sometimes you can't be overly friendly ...... Such as explaining to a mid troll why he shouldn't push when in standing on the enemy high ground as an invis CM at the 4 minute mark...... Normally at my level these people are stupid and ignore you. Then blame you latter when they have lost (even though most of the time they impeded everything you did)
dota is so boring if u play alot :( they really need to implant that custom game system and new games mode. like one game mode where you get random item and hero you dont choose or hmmm wait we should open a suggestion post about NEW GAMES MODES!
like one custom dota game with only but creeps around in the map and duel every 10 min in 1v1 randomly chosen in each team in an arena. like wc3 custom angel arena. and you kill creeps but its a BIG MAP and some place in the map need to kill that first boss to get to the other part in the map. angel arena warcraft 3 was epic!

Prevent conflicts in Dota... It is basically impossible if you are not going to lick everyones A55 and just be their b1tch.
I have studied conflict management on university level and I have great use of that for avoiding and handle conflicts in IRL. But in Dota... then it doesnt help much. Shutup and lick their A55 is the way to go in this community.
Conflicts are part of the game. its nothing wrong with that. thesis, antithesis, synthesis. That is a effective way of learning. Sometimes ppl get so pissed that the conflict suddenly becomes more important than the game. I try to be proactive and compliment ppl on anything. So they feel good about themselves. As soon as they notice that they perform badly, the risk for blaming and feeding increases. Treating the gameruiner like he is air (incl. mute) usually works best.
You can't please everyone especially racist fucks. Sometimes you just need to be optimistic of the situation unless your teammates are plain retarded that they just die every 2 minutes. You just can't' say *insert racial insults" as it provokes the player to play even worse that you just wanna throw your pc to the window and never see it again.

he comes to my lane at 05:00 and i get my 6 and start feeding
if somebody questions u = feed
if somebody tries to fuck up ur game = afk / feed if ur team is winning 4vs6
if somebody says ur bad = win 1vs9 and then feed so teammate loses -25
if somebody says "gank pls" before 10:00 = feed
if somebody takes ur rune when ur already going for it and u have a bottle = feed
if somebody picks potm to roam = feed if he doesn't land anything and is underlvl'd
if somebody takes cs from your mid/safe lane repeatedly before 10:00 = feed
if your support refuses to leave after you say "let me solo plz" = use the move command on him and stay afk

i told axe im a machine created to win 1vs9 and this is what he does, first he pings me to come to rosh and i tell him to take aegis cuz he dies too much and instead he afks
ok this ones pretty good, my 4.8k player wants safe lane, i tell him no and then he insta picks sf and goes mid
what a trash game ive mb played 20-30 games this year and i dont think i'll play more than that
