Not really. I have an Invoker smurf where I always have aegis and have a 35% winrate with it.
Because people go for aegis and push and win the game. They don't go just for kills like you, they play Dota and not LoL

It has a better win rate than rapier so must be better also.
No it isn't - you only have a 75% win rate but aegis win rate is 97%. This strat is more legit.
That winrate pool is only for itens taht people finish on their inventory, so if you dont die with aegis you problably won
