yeah but he goes vang literally every single game, i dont see why its necessarily better than drums or even something like yasha depending on the situation, what's so great about vanguard on void

ive played against the VG build and its really good actually. You waste 2x the dmg on void and you still dont do shit cause he just jumps :D

yeah but vanguard offers 0 dps so it kinda hinders your farming and fighting capability too in exchange for a somewhat excessive tankiness

I don't see how it is so hard to grasp that it makes you tankier. Drums gives you good stats but in terms of tankiness vanguard is miles better.

void is already super hard to kill thanks to his hp reset

vangaurd allows you to tank neutral creeps if you wanna do that. If you had drums void would not be able to tank as much. There are certain heroes that can burst a void down and it's almost a safety measure against that.

cz against certain lineups void is close to be unkillable early on. vanguard minimizes physical damage and radiance gives meaning to your immortality, cz u start hurting ppl.

its not that much of a weird build, though.

literally every void i get in my team has zero understanding of the current meta and usually loses the game for us due to outdated builds not being relevant anymore

ive tried it and liked it alot you're literally unkillable. Not sure i like it over offlane void though since it seems safer and uses the offlane better than most heroes in the current meta.

i saw his streams and he says that this build is actually designed for pub games, mostly of them he goes void safe.
pub games from what i understood is where ur supps cannot zone the offlane properly, of u are against dual lanes.

he builds vanguard after aquila and treads, getting a ring of health for sustain, while also u can complete vanguard at secret side shop (im not sure if u could buy it there before), and aiming for rad after those items, all under 20 mins.

before hand he also says that he is not willing to commit to tf before lvl10, cuz he goes for 4 0 4 build (mostly), but he tps when the other team is diving and he has the oportunity for easy kils

I mean it doesn't seem that weird. You used to go mask of madness for sustain while farming as well as ability to 1v1 pickoff anyone with chrono at like 6,7,8 before they got enough hp to survive, but mask sucks now and he lost his dodge. So vanguard, nice sustain, good tanking sync with time walk since dodge is gone. And then radiance is just like new hotness on a lot of heroes. A lot of voids will build vlads now though to buff team.

Put it this way: what use is your drums if you're dead after getting focused by the enemy team, and you couldn't get timewalk and/or chrono off in time because you didn't have vanguard?

Vanguard let's void farm neutrals with losing too much HP as well.
Vanguard - farm near enemy towers, make enemy waste a lot of dmg on u for no reason, farm neutrals safely, die t2/t3s when u get the radiance and also never go back to base as long as ur team has some mana boots.
Drums is nearly has as effective in most cases I guess.

You can time walk off most nuke damage early game so with the physical tank from vanguard you can pretty much run/time walk all the way from their t2 to your t3 with no fear of dying.

Waga's build is so good in pub if you have early farm. you get 10min vanguard, 20-25min radiance 90% chance to win.
