your skill bracket in NMM depends on your hidden mmr, and your hidden mmr defines your rating in the first calibration game. so ur hidden rating is currently above 3.7k, but u can still drop drastically during the calibration games, if u perform poorly.
dotabuff extracts all the data from steam API, that includes info about rating and other stuff.
normal skill in partty games only means that the average of your hidden party mmr (which doesnt equal ur hidden solo), and the hidden party ratings of your partners, is lower than 3.2k.
You're somewhere above 3.7k MMR. I would venture a guess at 4.2-4.5k. But believe you me, I've been in very high for a while now, and just passed 4k, and I know I'm shit. Just being in very high skill doesn't make you any better. All you can do is keep trying to improve.
Being in a very high skill can improve your play style, being in a normal skill is a fvcking life. Did you experience in normal bracket. Jesus
Being in VHS gives you an opportunity to calibrate at 4k+.. It does not ensure you calibrate at 4k.. My friend was VHS from very early on his profile and he calibrated 2.5k.. I was HS playing with mostly 3.4k people when I was playing unranked and I calibrated 3.6k.. Your calibration games matter..
