both mean "enemy hero(es) is (are) missing", basically - abbreviation of "miss". "cc" is a slavic version, cz the letter "s" in russian and similar languages looks exactly like "c"
In SEA, ss always means superskill (ulti). I've never seen it used as missing in that region.
SS = SunStrike
CC = Crowd Control
Are people still saying SS(ULT) even right now? I thought this is WC3 DOTA days? in the past SS means ULT but now when I say ULT I type ULT.
SS is either: Sun Strike, Storm Spirit, Shadow Shaman, or just a short way of saying missing
CC is Crowd Control - "I can't fight without a BKB, enemy team has too much CC."
ppl
i mean
i played this game for ages, including 5k games in the 2nd dota
ive never, ever seen a SINGLE person using cc for crowd control in dota. literally never.
@TripleSteal- Yah me too I never or can't remember see somebody chat CC, the only reason why I know its meaning is because probably of that anime Log Horizon or probably some online MMORPG I played in the past can't really remember.
I always thought this was sea specific. Never knew what ss stood for but ppl use it to mean ult.
USA ss means missing. Short for mi"ss"ing. It's kind of retarded.
No one says cc but it would mean crowd control. You might say it like hey we need more cc pick lion. You wouldn't just type cc in chat by itself.
It means - missing enemy/hero in english/slavic...
I dont know about what are others talking xD
When i play on EU west and US east (2k mmr / ns in general) i always see 'ss' as missing (when they dont know how chatwheel works) and 'cc' as crowd control.
Like : hey pick Warlock we need cc slow.
or something like that.
First thing I thought when I saw this was CS. For those that don't know, this stands for Creep Score consisting of your last hit and deny count; more emphasis is put upon the last hit count.
tra afaik is a shortened version of the filipino word "tara", which more or less means "let's go". that's why much of the players from ph use "tra" to signify something like a sign to initiate something
I agree cc means crowd control but I've never seen anyone type it in game. Maybe during picks or on forums.
@triplesteal isnt cc meaning cyber cafe. Btw i play in cc. But i never seen use cc in dota.
Imo ss has lot on meanings. Sunstrike storm spirit shadow shaman and missing. Btw i personally avoid to use ss cuz its too complicated
