Whenever someone on my team randoms we lose. If you want to random go play all random mode. If you're playing all pick mode, pick a hero.
Basically 4th or even 3rd pick randoming is extremely cancerous. Because what u said abt it favoring lanes is untrue and ive experienced this fucking up games hard way too many times.
Randoming is cancerous when you don't know how to play the hero... And in my bracket, I get two people in the same party picking offlane Spectre and jungle Luna after I already picked a safe laner... So if I random, get the extra gold, counter the enemy and do what's necessary to win the game, what's wrong with that?
^because I guarantee u don't know how to play every hero and I also guarantee a random wont always counter the enemy, in fact it can give a hero countered by the enemy. idk where u r pulling ur assumptions from.

So far, through my experience, I have noticed that randoming a hero almost always grants you a decent or semi-counter to the enemy heroes... I would not make a topic about this if I hadn't noticed it multiple times, and trust me, I random A LOT... In ALL my normal games and party ranked games (just not solo ranked)... I do this because I am comfortable playing any hero and cannot rely on marking a lane and picking a certain hero, because I have experienced disappointment too much...
Now obviously, I wouldn't recommend a last pick random (in fact, I believe its disabled now)... But a 3rd or 4th pick random almost always guarantees me a good counter hero... Rarely does it give me a hero that occupies a lane that has already been picked and marked by someone else, but I can always reroll if that's the case... Besides, it teaches you to be more versatile, makes you more knowledgeable of picks and counters, grants you bonus gold to compensate for your newness to the hero AND you are likely to have more options as to what position you will play from the draft that this results in...
Does anyone else do this often? Has anyone experienced this at all? If so, have you done some numbers on this? Percentages on how often you are likely to get a counter? I believe it is quite high...
