But if you think about it...with the introduction of Nullifier, supports are kind of wrecked. All those crutial items you bought with your little money can be "nullified", so you have 0 chance to survive in some key situations.
The biggest disappointment is for me, that Nullifier deletes some skill elements, like timing scepter well.
If I had to guess, Nullifier was the reason of the Diffu change, so Ghost Scepter remains somewhat useful.
You are right and wrong. Nulifier is indeed good item against supports, but, it just applies on 1v1 situations. And another disadvantage is that it has spell projectile, so you can cast items like force staff before receiving mute
if you have any save items nullifier is shit unless paired with another disable as a setup
I recently played as a Sven against Dusa with Nullifier. I know that Dusa counters Sven in a way that u cant instagib her but i could not do anything with a good timed Nullifier on me, when Sven relies on using active items.
ghost specter is a normal useful item again finally, as it used to be, before that " diffusial meta " ruining it completely as an item.

I just think with new Diffusal Blade that applies only a slow on target and not a dispel, ghost scepter is a great choice for supports against carries of the meta like pa and juggernaut.It's also very good against heroes that tend to roam and feed on supports like clinkz or slark.
Especially when it's combined with a dagger that allows you to easily escape right click heroes!
