I have heard that it does not. It must not affect gameplay? Cosmetics may not even be reported to valve tbh, why would they care what terrain pack you are using? I read on this forum that all you need to do is cut and paste the file from someone who has it.

everyone has the files, they are in your dota 2 folder

however you need to replace certain files with other files to make it work without having to buy cosmetics

or use third party software that does this for you

Mode will be bugged or something..there is always a catch.
