no your medal shouldnt affect matchmaking, if im understanding the system correctly. You still have an mmr that is used for matchmaking and the medals are just there for show.
Which means that account buyers who continue to play ranked will be extremely visableby the end of the season because they will be like ancient 4 being matched against guardian 3's.
in lol, there's the same bullshit, and a diamond can actually play versus bronze1 (at least they can lose their star)
