He probably calibrated his Party MMR before his Solo MMR. The thing is, when you get your medal, it will be equivalent to your highest MMR, be it Solo or Party (except for Divine that only counts solo).
This SF has 3k solo and 4k party, since he calibrated his Party MMR before he got ancient 0. If he had calibrated his solo first he would've had an Archon 5 medal and, after calibrating his party mmr, be promoted to Ancient 0.
Happened to me, calibrated party first and got a Crusader 2 medal, when I calibrated my Solo I got instantly promoted to Archon 3
