If you regularly play the game with Dota Plus active, you will have shards, plenty of shards... They come in from all angles. There is no need to sell your relics for extra shards. There is no huge need for this feature to exist. Just play and you will soon have enough shards for whatever you wish to buy.

Please devs, please make this an option. There is no way to purchase dota plus shards, probably because it would have given the idea of paying for special skins instead of earning them the 'rightful' way, like how people complain about loot boxes and stuff, although it's not a 1:1 comparison. It just sucks putting a lot of shards into a hero that you think you will play forever, but certain balance changes happen, and now you don't care to play the hero anymore. It would be great to be able to sell the relics at a reduced price, because those relics just waste away if we aren't playing that hero anymore.
Also, some hero relics need to be updated. Like some relics have radiance trackers on heroes that no longer go radiance, like Naga. Also for like Ember, people don't go BF much on him anymore. For Chen, why is Holy Persuasion kills after TP 100 kills for one level, when it should be 10-15 kills per level, while non niche kills are 75 kills for one level?
I know most people could probably care less about relics, but I don't think these things are unreasonable requests.
