There are a lot of excellent players who did not make the list because they either were not active enough recently or don't have 30 games on heroes. Many pros spent their time playing pro games and preparing inhouse for their upcoming tournaments. But the list is what it is...a contest of who is best at winning pub games.

For example I'm certain Liquid'TC would be in the top 5 on more than 60 heroes if he just had 30 games played on them. But his most games played is 25 for sven. That would represent a score of probably over 400k. But only the ones that have actually played and proved it count.

Over 33% of all points in the entire pool of all 31 million points awarded went to these top 250 players. So not only did they have high scores on many heroes they tended to be ranked near the very top on the ones they had played over 30 games.

What the people on this list represent are the stacks that are so awesome that they end your teams 20 game win streak when you encounter them at the very top of the MMR charts. The MaglevGankTrain runs over your ursa-wisp or PL-KotL combos with pretty much any hero picks by just straight up outplaying everyone.

Dota isnt solo game but anyway cauz i know lot of the ppl in the list solo or not they have no prob. They will be 1st page anyway (not all they are some low players compared to the others)

Also of note 53 of these names I have seen play in a least 1 pro tournament game. I'm sure a lot more are also pro-player aliases.

page 1 solo is rly not hard, u can even get there with 50-55%

Right. Anyone good enough to sometimes play on page 1, especially page 1 first spot, knows how extremely hard it is to have high winrate at that level. It basically means you are the #1 team in the region for that que time.

Murs just likes to say its easy because for him its easy. Getting on that top 50 list presents a different problem of just the time required to play enough games.

Nevertheless, there are still players like Vaikiss that are far better than me who can get to page 1 nearly all the time. Its rare, but its not that rare. About 1 in 10,000 players are this good so there are still several thousand of them.

Then there are even better players who could beat Vaikiss 8 or 9 times out of ten...the sort who are on the above list of top Pubstompers.

Then there are even better players who are...playing at TI3, although about 10% of the players on TI3 teams are also on that pubstomp highscore.

The point is...just because you can't do something does not mean there are not people who can.

Perhaps you are unaware that page 1 is approximately the top 0.25%? If I go solo I will only be in the first 10 pages somewhere.

Players who can solo que into regular matching and end up on the first page are about 1 in 4,000. Those are just the facts of how the statistic work out. I estimate Vaikiss to be roughly a 1 in 10,000 player. It's not surprising that he would regularly be on the first page solo queing.

Nevertheless with the amount of stacking I do I end up on the first page about 1 game in 10. First position rarely...about 1 game in 30.

No I mean first page a high % of your games.

First position is diffrent. That's usually the game everyone tries to watch most the #1 team vs #2 team in the que. Its a 1 in 20k to 1 in 30k position depending on the traffic at the time. I am in that game rarely, maybe once every other week. I need a pretty strong stack to get there. Basically that happens when I have a good 5 stack and we win 5 or 6 in a row. Then everyones MMR jumps up.

But my stacks are not as strong as yours usually are. It won't be long before some better stack will show up and take the top spot. Then we are going to get a game that is way to hard against the new #1 stack and lose the streak. That's how it works if you pay attention to that patterns. It's a king-of-the-moutain sort of game. Winner stays. But its hard to see because the timing is always rotating with the ques.

Sure, I've seen some smurfs get there in less than 20 wins. It just depends on which region you are in and what time of day it is. The times when the best teams play in the active regions (ie US, SEA, and EU) the top team will be extremely good, it usually has pro-players in it. But if you play at an off time or on a weaker server like Russia or Brazil, its not that hard be the top team in the que.

Mason in your case I believe your DBR is low or maybe nothing because it looks like you may have started playing dota 2 after it froze.

The DBR part of the score is sort of the base and winrate and KDA and such adjust it up or down. But if you had no DBR and its not updating then you just don't get a score.

The rest of your group is all in the 60k-80k range I'm sure you would be similar if your scores counted.

Yesterday I was 1st page with my friend's smurf account with 10 wins. (I mean party). As long as someone in the party is a very very high level guy you can get there easily.

u dont factor in server. its much easier to get to the top in aus, brazil, south african and US server as oppose to EU, SEA, and china

looking at the top 50, most of them are from US and aus servers

its funny i play page 1 games 99% of the time either solo or stacking with ppls who has aprox 1500~ wins on average and from that list i roughly only played vs pros in that list which is like 1/5th at best at probably won most of the games agaisnt them

Gucci makes a good point. The server does make a huge difference in the difficulty of the games...although USwest is similar to Brazil and Russia...USeast -EUwest are the most difficult because the best teams from NA, EU, and CIS all play on them. EUeast is also very strong as is SEA...Australia is definitely the easiest...unless SA is even more. I've never played there. I would assume the China server is very strong but again I've never played there.

I think the eastern pros do not play nearly as much in pub games. That is why fewer of them appear. They just don't have the 30 games on many heroes. Some of the western pro players have a strong tradition of pubstomping so they end up on the list.

It's hard to say without watching your games...but the first thing that stands out on stats is your record denies of 19 on a SF game.
That's after 1500+ games.

This indicates that you are either just rather average at mouse control and pressing buttons or you do not ever make a serious attempt to static farm a lane or control it on any hero.

Getting a ton of denies is nice...not usually that important. But people who are good at lasthitting will have some games with tons of denies just because its relatively easy for them and they do it when its a good idea to hold the lane.

No reason to stop playing. But if you are not getting denies because you can't...then you need to adjust tactics to fit your strengths.

For instance, if you (anyone) figure out that you are bad at lasthitting...and honestly almost everyone who plays dota is quite bad at it. Then you must get a quelling blade whenever you play a melee carry...and consider rushing phase boots on every range carry.

If you really are just bad at lasthitting...another option is don't play carries. Just play supports or gankign heroes. Or if you do play a carry, get one that can flash farm and stack camps for yourself and jungle to catch up. Get radiance. Get bfury. Such items fix crappy lasthitting starts whether from lack of skill or to much pressure on your lane.

practice makes perfect

make private lobby go mid as sf don't buy any items don't skill any skills and try to get as much as possible lasthts within 10 mins

Most people will not be able to improve enough doing this to actually be good. If you are talented at mouse control and clicking buttons...then practicing will help a lot. Vaikiss suggestion is exactly how you want to practice it too...very good drill.

If you are not its just going to make you mad that you are working hard and not getting better.

One other point --as support if you are not good enough to consistently get denies in the lane, stop trying.

Instead control the lane by harassing the enemy hero. If you are in a very strong lane you should go past the creeps far enough that you will not draw agro. Then you can hit the enemy and kite them and keep them away from the lane. If you are on a weak lane then just do one or two attacks on the melee enemy every time they come up to the line. Whenever you attack them quickly attack click and nearby allied creep as if you were going to deny it to remove the creep agro again....this is hard for unskilled clickers too, but once you get the hang of it its easier than actually getting denies because the timing is not so important.

if you exclude the absolute top stacks on us servers, their level is far below the one of the russian server

I think the opposite is true. I know several pub stomper stacks that specifically use the Russian server because they feed the most there in Very High games.

The title is very misleading. Also, EU servers are a lot more difficult than US servers. Why? Because a _LOT_ more people play there.
